It is safe to assume that at some point over the summer break you will hear these two words… “ I’m Bored”.
Most people respond by telling their children, grandchildren, spouse, or significant other … “find something to do.”
But here’s the thing… when you are a part of Heritage Harbor Ottawa, home of the Adventure Lifestyle, in the heart of Starved Rock Country… there is always something to do…
There are beautiful trails, historic and picture perfect parks, festivals, farmer’s markets, shopping, theater, motocross racing, kart racing, you name it and not to mention the fun there is to be had on the majestic Illinois River.
Now the river is fun for everyone and it is defiantly the place to be when faced with those two little words…
So, hop on the boat, take off down the river, check the water then throw in the tube…
Tubing on the river is so much fun. Watch the kids hold on for dear life as you throttle up the boat and gain speed.
The laughter is amazing (OK and maybe just a little wrong) when the kiddo who thinks… “ I got this”.. actually doesn’t and they fall off the tube and splash down in the water!
After you make sure you got that all on video, circle to boat and pick them up and go again… you are assured hours of family fun!
And hey, if they are out on the tube and the kids still happen to say “ I’m bored”… at least you wont hear them.
